Method

The source publishes one row per year, month, tariff code, region of origin and country of destination, and publishes no monthly figure for the country as a whole: a cell's value is the sum of the month's rows whose tariff code is on this indicator's declared list. The laboratory computes that sum; the source is cited and the figure is attributed to this laboratory. The value is published in the unit the source prints, the FOB dollar, without conversion to any other currency.

Confidentiality

No threshold barrier, because the export universe protects no population. The reason is set out in the universe declaration and in ADR 0035: the population of exporting firms exists, but the source neither identifies nor counts it, so the cell cannot be evaluated, and the number of contributors is not taken from another source because that would mean inventing it. The published cell is the one the agency already publishes at the same breakdown.

Limitations

The series publishes the national figure and does not break it down by region of origin or country of destination. FOB value is what the exporter declares and not what is finally collected. The most recent month of each capture is provisional. A month with no operations under this indicator's tariff headings publishes zero, and that zero is a statement by the source and not a filler: the file is a transactional customs register where each row is a declared operation, so the absence of rows means there was no movement. When that month is also the most recent one in the capture, its zero is published as provisional.

Revision policy

The series is recalculated when the agency publishes a new edition of the year's resource. The most recent month in each capture is provisional at source, so its cell is published as provisional and is replaced by its final value in the next capture.

Versions of the sheet

1. 1.4.0 · 27 September 2026. The record now notes what the series measures, so that the laboratory can check it only adds together series that measure the same thing. No figure changes.
2. 1.3.0 · 26 September 2026. The record's prose was reviewed against the rule that admits no hand-written counts: any count is now derived from the series declaration, left out where it only accompanied the explanation, or given the date and the reference copy of the observation it comes from. Statements about which years have cells carry the date of this version. No figure changes.

The record now also publishes in English its formula, its method, its propagation rule, its reference period, its frequency, its coverage, its first period and its revision policy, which up to this version were published only in Spanish. It also declares how many decimal places the figure is published with. No stored figure changes: the one published in the API, in the bulletin and in the download is the stored figure rounded to that precision.
4. 1.1.0 · 10 September 2026. The series stated that its status was transcribed from a flag the source publishes next to each figure, and that source's file carries none: the column its reader uses is added by the laboratory, applying the finality policy the source record declares. It now declares the form its pipeline exercises, decidido-por-regla. No cell changes status or figure because of this: both forms do the same thing in the only piece that consumes them, so the record still declares no default status and each cell's status still travels in the column the reader delivers. What changes is whose decision it is, which is what was misstated.
