Method

The source publishes one row per week and this indicator is published monthly, so the step from one to the other is decided by the laboratory and is not written here: it is read from the temporal aggregation declaration in the source record, which states from which cycle to which period, by which method, which column the value comes from, which axes it is grouped by, who decides it and which observation it rests on. Writing it here as well would leave another live statement about the same fact, and the pipeline uses the one in the source record.

Confidentiality

No threshold barrier. The series belongs to the universe of series with no identifiable population: its figure is an aggregate market price and is not calculated over any person or firm this laboratory could count, so there is no sparse cell to protect and no unit to count. The reason is set out in the universe declaration and in ADR 0035.

Limitations

The monthly average is simple and not weighted, and the reason lies with the source: it does not publish how many observations back each weekly average, so any weighting would have to be invented. Which month a week belongs to is not decided by the laboratory: the source carries it in its own year and month columns, including the week that crosses the turn of the year. The price is the retail one and not the one the beekeeper receives, so it is not compared with producer price series without saying so. The figure is in Chilean pesos and is not converted to another currency. Every cell of this series is born with the same status, and that is a curatorial decision taken once for the whole series, because the source says nothing about the firmness of its figures: a per-cell marker was looked for and the resource publishes no status column among the variables its record declares, and a published revision policy was looked for and there is none. The only thing the agency publishes about the resource's cycle is when it was last modified, and that date says nothing about the firmness of a given week's cell, so it is not taken for a status marker.

Revision policy

The whole series is recalculated when the agency publishes a new edition, and the previous version is kept as an erratum with its reason.
